IMANIFesto is a framework that assesses political parties’ manifestos using a coding system comprised of quantitative indicators. It analyses the status of implementation of pledges contained in the manifesto of the ruling party, the feasibility of manifestos presented by political parties prior to elections and the impact of their promises on the livelihood of the citizenry.

Policy makers, political actors and development actors across Africa, particularly in Ghana, Benin and Nigeria, have responded to IMANIFesto in various ways. Presidential candidates both in Ghana and Benin have contacted us for policy advice following the release of our IMANIFesto publications.

IMANIFESTO – 2019

Progress Report on the Delivery of the NPP Government’s Election Promises

As the country prepares for the general election in 2020, it is almost inevitable that, the political parties and their respective flagbearers will commence an active engagement of citizens, making commitments to arrest the myriad of challenges confronting Ghanaians, ranging from the management of the economy to improving their sociocultural status while guaranteeing to provide security – all of which are essential needs and expectations of citizens.

Against this background, it is important that, an assessment of the progress made by the current government in fulfilling the myriad of commitments it made in 2016 which secured what is considered by many as an unprecedented victory at the ballot in the 4th Republic, is conducted to gauge the level of performance.
